Playing in the Sand

Dead & Company Playing in the Sand is a 5- or 6-night all-inclusive concert vacation in Riviera Cancún, Mexico. Dead & Company will perform three nights on the beach in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Our unique concert venue sits along the Caribbean, providing a surreal backdrop to this incredibly intimate event. Performances take place at the Moon Palace Cancún, an all-inclusive resort sitting on a mile-long stretch of white sandy beach. You can reserve a room at the Moon Palace, or choose to elevate your stay at The Grand at Moon Palace. Both resort properties feature a variety of restaurants, bars and daily activities, all included in your package price. Spend days lounging by the pool and beach, or explore the nearby town of Puerto Morelos or one of our other exciting off-site adventures.

The Resort

From dawn to dusk, the energy of the Moon Palace is palpable. Sun-kissed ocean breezes caress by day while the pulse of paradise kicks in at night. Ranked among the top resorts in Cancún on TripAdvisor, the Moon Palace has three unique sections: Sunrise, Nizuc and The Grand. The property features a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, lavish swimming pools, a state of the art fitness center with private yoga, pilates and spin class, the signature AWE Spa, multiple dining destinations and bars, an ultra-chic nightclub: NOIR, and so much more. Each room is a luxurious sanctuary, the perfect escape after an amazing night out. Amenities include complimentary WiFi, all-inclusive 24-hour room service, world class spirits, indulgent bath products, snacks and a whirlpool tub! A variety of guest rooms and suite options are available with breathtaking ocean and resort views.

The Venue

Guests are greeted each night by highly-trained beverage distribution specialists who are lined up on both sides of the entrance. Enjoy as many complimentary drinks as you can (politely) grab. From there, experience traditional and not-so-traditional entertainments as you wander to our main stage, which sits on a beautiful stretch of beach just steps from the Caribbean. Once inside the venue, you’ll munch on regional fare including tacos and nightly rotating vegetarian options mixed with some of your favorite snacks and desserts. Roaming wait staff will keep the beverages flowing all night long so you don’t need to move. Custom event merchandise will be available for purchase so you can take a piece of the beach home with you (not literally, please leave the beach where it is. )

Whether you’re looking to tan on the beach or cool off by the pool, the Moon Palace offers a variety of exciting activities for you to take part in during the day. Here’s a taste of our 2020 offerings:

AWE Spa – world class spa service on-site at both resort properties.
Tequila Tastings – educate yourself on Mexico’s favorite adult beverage!
Craft Beer Tastings – learn about our local partners while wetting your lips with their full collection of beers.
Daily Yoga Sessions – early morning yoga in an open-air environment.
Beach Games – spike ball, corn hole and more of our favorites will be provided for your gaming pleasure.
Late Night Karaoke – It’s fun to stay at the WHYYYYY EMMMM SEEE EYYYYYY!
Beach Jam Session – let’s make some noise together. Bring your instrument of choice (or use one of ours) for this special staff-lead jam session on the beach.
Mini Golf – if Jack Nicklaus’ course isn’t your speed, try one of the two mini golf courses on the resort property.
Wired Lounge – escape the sun by visiting one of three arcades on-site to play your favorite classics as well as PS4 & XBox.
